AMEB Speech Results for Secondary School Graduation
Voice and Communication. Drama and Performance exams are entitled to receive School Graduation points from their AMEB reports. Students will need to submit their AMEB reports to school to verify their achievement. Accrual of AMEB points speech points will apply in 2007 for years 10/11 Secondary students.

A secondary student graduating from 2008 will need at least 20 course units (100 points) to receive the graduation certificate called Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) Up to 10 course units (50 points) may come from council endorsed programs.

Both Voice & Communication. Drama & Performance will be given points as follows:-

  • Prel & Grade 1. I point.
  • Grade 2. =2 points. 
  • Grade 3,=3 points.
  • Grade 4= 4 points.
  • Grade 5& 6 = 5 points.
  • Certificates = 5 points and
  • Diplomas = 10 points.

Points can be accumulated only when a student is enrolled in years 10-12.

Sally Berendse (9474 3631) & Roz Thomson (0405 292 799) wish to advise members that the LAMDA examiner (Ann Newson) will be holding a get together to meet Speech & Drama Teachers and discuss any questions you may have regarding the LAMDA syllabus on FRIDAY 9TH NOVEMEBR @ 6PM in THE CONSTANCE ORD LOUNGE OF THE OLD MILL THEATRE. There will be wine & nibbles.

For those interested Roz and Sally plan to have a meal at the Hotel Windsor across the road afterwards - please advise Sally or Roz of your attendance ASAP.
